Two Women TalkingIn-Home - Home is where we feel comfortable, more independent. At times, having a little help at home can sustain independence. We can help by arranging for housekeeping, assistance with bathing, dressing and other personal care needs.

Respite - Some seniors can not live independently, but are living at home with the help of a caregiver, such as a spouse, adult child, sibling or close friend. Providing care around the clock can be stressful. A Respite Worker can care for the dependent senior so that the caregiver can enjoy time away from responsibilities for a short period.

We have Alzheimer's Respite for families caring for a senior who has Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. For more information about Alzheimer's Respite, click here.

Paying for help to come into the home can be costly. Our In-Home and Respite services target serving seniors with a fixed, low income level. Recipients of In-Home Services are asked to make donations for the services they receive. Respite Services are on a Cost Sharing or sliding fee scale basis.

Before services begin, a home visit will be done by one of our Social Workers or a Health Department Nurse.
