Happiness Is A New Home
"We adopted a very shy and scared Sheltie whom we have named Arthur. He is making great progress every day with all the love and attention that we shower on him. He goes for daily walks and seems to do well on a routine. Arthur has gained some much needed weight and loves his new home. He has a new spark in his eyes and knows his name now. Thank you for letting us adopt him."

New Leash on Life The Jackson County Animal Shelter has donated dogs to the U.S. Customs office to be trained as narcotic dogs. The dogs must pass a basic test at the Animal Shelter. If the test is passed, the dog goes into basic training. We have sent 5 dogs to the U.S. Customs and 4 have passed their training. The fifth was placed into a home.
