Michael J. Way (Rep) was elected in 2006 to serve and represent the people of the 11 th district of Jackson County. The 11 th district covers parts of Summit, Blackman and Sandstone Townships.
Mike is married to his wife of 26 years, Jennifer, and together they have two sons and a daughter. Mike has lived his whole life in Jackson and believes that the Jackson Community is a great community to raise a family in.
For the last 30 years Mike has been very active in the Jackson Community. He worked at the Jackson YMCA for 28 years as the Facility Director. He is presently employed by the Jackson District Library as the Facility Administrator.
Other community activities include:
- Active member of Trinity Lutheran Church serving on their Executive Board
- Served for 12 years on the Southwest Little League - six years as President
- Member of the Jackson Breakfast Rotary club and past president
- Current chair of the DDA
- Served on the Jackson Public School Board for one term
- Current member of the DisAbilities Connection Board
Mike is very committed to representing his constituent’s interests and making a positive difference in Jackson County.
