Jackson County is the perfect place to live
and work. But did you know it's also a great place to play?
There are more than 16 public parks here featuring nearly
600 acres of green space, historical landmarks and several
sports complexes that include playing fields. The best known
attraction of is the Cascades Falls, a man-made, illuminated
waterfall with musical accompaniment enjoyed by all since
1932. Our newest attraction is the 16th County Park - The Falling Waters Trail, our 10.5 mile non-motorized park which goes from Weatherwax Road in Jackson to Concord, MI.
The Jackson County Parks Department offers a
steady array of athletic and sporting events, outdoor adventures,
therapeutic recreation, special programs for senior adults,
teens, and families and annual cultural events and holiday
festivities.
