FOC Approval of Orders and Judgments: All Judgments and Orders involving Change of Custody, Support and Change of Domicile must be approved by the Friend of the Court before they are submitted to the Judge. This does not apply to an Order that only involves Parenting Time.
Ex Parte Communication: "Ex parte communication" is a direct or indirect communication on the substance of a pending case without the knowledge, presence, or consent of all parties involved in the matter. Ex parte communication is prohibited in legal proceedings.
Judge Rappleye cannot read nor respond to a letter mailed, hand-delivered or e-mailed from a party regarding a case unless all interested persons to the action have received the same. If you are a party in an action and feel you need to bring an issue in front of the Judge, you will need to file the proper paperwork with the County Clerk’s Office (517) 788-4268.
