The concept plan and feedback will be reviewed at the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Commission meeting at 8:00 am on October 16, 2013 at the Golf Course Starter House, 1992 Warren Avenue.

 

This 7 acre park includes grills, picnic area, playground area, swimming area, boat launch, and portable toilets are also available.

 

Location:

Columbia Township
3708 Ocean Beach Road, Clark Lake, MI  49234

 

Directions:

Take US-127 South to Jefferson Rd. Turn left (East) onto Jefferson Rd. for approximately 3.5 miles then turn left (North) onto Ocean Beach Rd.  The park will be on your left hand side about a mile down Ocean Beach Rd.

 

Rules:

No alcohol is allowed and pets are not allowed in the picnic, playground or beach areas.  Swim at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty.

 

History:

Clark Lake is one of the oldest parks in the county.  It was purchased in 1925 from C.F. York for $4,500.
