Mission Statement
To maintain our buildings and grounds in the highest possible state of repair in a timely, responsible and cost effective manner to ensure a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment for County employees; assist departments with the implementation of
ergonomic principles of layout and design; and to make our facilities safe and
accessible to the public that utilize our services.

Description of Department's Activities
The Facilities Department is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance, as well as minor and major remodeling and renovation of the Courthouse, Human Services Building, Northlawn Building, Tower Building, Woolworth Building, the Youth Center Complex, and the Animal Shelter. The department also offers our expertise to buildings used by the Sheriff's Department and Fairgrounds or others that may request our expertise. We are responsible for prioritizing and overseeing the Public Improvement Fund. The Facilities Department administers leases for office and antenna space.
