Ric Scheele - Director of Fleet and Facilities Operations

Ric has been with the County of Jackson since 2006. He is responsible for all aspects of the County Facilities and Fleet operations. Ric began his public sector career with the City of Jackson. He was the Property Management Coordinator for the city Police Department when he left after fifteen years of service. In between these two positions, he was in the private sector, working as the Facility Manager for a multinational commercial real estate firm and was responsible for buildings in the Lansing, Detroit and Grand Rapids areas. Ric is the public member and secretary of the County of Jackson "Building Authority" and serves as the chairperson for the County's "Risk Management Team".

 

Teresa Soltis - Facilities Operations Coordinator

Teresa has been with Jackson County since 1995. As the Department Operations Coordinator, she provides and coordinates support functions for the Facilities and Fleet Services team. These tasks include budget preparation and monitoring of Facilities/Fleet Services Department and the Public Improvement Fund Budgets; processing of the Facilities Department accounts payable and vehicle repair invoices; administration of the office and antenna space leases; management of the requisition and work order process; management of the computerized building security system; management and processing of new vehicle orders; management and maintenance of the County of Jackson employee ID software. Teresa is a member of the County's "Improved Work Environment Team".

 

Jim Vandenburgh - Carpenter Supervisor

Jim is a true craftsman. As a licensed builder, he serves as the departmental construction project manager. He is the person responsible for any remodeling/construction work performed. With the historical integrity of the County’s beautiful public buildings in mind, he works with the Facilities Team, supervising each construction project from beginning to end, bringing the project in on time and under budget. Jim has been with Jackson County since 1991 and is a member of the County's “Employee Communication, Suggestion and Recognition Team".

 

Tim Yost - Electrical Supervisor

Tim began his career with Jackson County in 1998. As a licensed Master Electrician, he assumes responsibility for the overall electrical needs of the County buildings. He performs all fashions of electrical install and repair, as well as electrical maintenance, and trouble-shooting. As the project manager for a wide variety of Facilities projects, Tim is responsible for coordinating staffing requirements and seeing the project through from beginning to end. He manages an active electrician apprenticeship program. Tim is a member of the County's "Improved Work Environment Team" and "Risk Management Team".
