These are exciting times at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department as we prepare to move into the next century. The Department is embarking on a technological voyage of unprecedented proportions. We are now bringing your call service requests to the emergency service providers through on board mobile data terminals. We will be using satellite technology to automatically locate emergency vehicles thereby increasing efficiency. Digital photography and live scan fingerprinting identify criminals in our jail.
