Public Comment:

MINUTES
A. Approval of the 6-22-09 Board of Public Works meeting minutes.

MOTION: Moved by Duckham, supported by Elenbaas to approve and receive the minutes from the 6-22-09 Board of Public Works regular meeting.
MOTION PASSED -- UNANIMOUSLY

SPECIAL ITEMS:
None.

Capital Improvements Projects
Geoff Snyder provided a verbal update. The Leoni project is on schedule. Pleasant Lake is coming along. The Rives project is winding down – the sewer is operational. The Parma pond 2 is almost done.

Resource Recovery Facility Activity Reports
A. RRF Monthly Report --- May 2009
Jim Glen provided a summary of the report and answered questions from the Committee.

MOTION: Moved by Shotwell, supported by Herl to review the June 2009 RRF Activity Report.
MOTION PASSED – UNANIMOUSLY

B. ARI/Operations Report – May and June 2009
Jim Glen provided a summary of the reports.

MOTION: Moved by Elenbaas, supported by Herl to receive the May and June ARI reports.
MOTION PASSED – UNANIMOUSLY

C. July 27, 2009 Balance Sheet
Gerard Cyrocki reported that the bills are current. There was no handout.

Resource Recovery Facility Business Items
A. McGill Landfill Volume Report – There were no comments.

Unfinished Business:
None.

New Business:
None.

Consideration & Allowance of Claims
MOTION: Moved by Duckham, supported by Herl to approve the June claims in the amount of $952,120.41.
MOTION PASSED – UNANIMOUSLY

Note: There were no outstanding invoices.

Subject to the call of Chairman Geoff Snyder/Drain Commissioner, the July 27, 2009 regular Board of Public Works meeting adjourned at 8:45 AM.

Next Scheduled Meeting:
The August 24 meeting was cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for September 28, 2009. The Board of Public Works meeting will be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room located at the Jackson County Tower Building, 120 W. Michigan Avenue:
