Basics of Food Safety
The Environmental Health Division continues to offer a “Basics of Food Safety” class. This class is a 3 hour class designed for employees to provide them with a basic level of food safety knowledge. This provides an alternative to the food safety manager class. While the Food Law requires an establishment to have at least one certified food safety manager on staff, it would be cost prohibitive to have everyone take that class. The hope of this class is to provide a means of training for the rest of your staff. The class is offered on a monthly basis and is free of charge.
