Communicating to Inmates

Postal Mail

All incoming mail for inmates of the Jackson County Jail must now be sent to the following address:

(Inmate Name)(Inmate ID)
C/O Mail Processing Center
P.O. Box 9167
Seminole, Florida 33775-9167

All mail will be scanned in and will be able to be viewed by the inmates on kiosks and tablets.  Friends and family must send all mail correspondence to this address.  Incoming mail may now be letters or postcards.

If mail is sent to either local jail address, it will be returned to sender.

.Telephone Calls

Telephone access is provided to all inmates between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., and is an outgoing collect call or SMART pre-paid inmate debit account. Collect calls are charged to your home service.  If you do not want to pay for the telephone call, do not accept the operator assisted request (there is a pre-call advising that the telephone call is being routed from a correctional facility). The Jackson County Jail will not receive any incoming telephone calls or messages for inmates!

If you are a friend or family member of an inmate and are looking for assistance with setting up a telephone Prepaid Collect or PIN Debit account, please create an account at SmartJailMail.com or contact our customer care center toll-free at 1-888-843-1972 for assistance.

 SmartJailMail™ Electronic Messaging System

One of the most innovative features provided by Smart communications is the electronic messaging function powered by SmartJailMail.com. This feature allows inmates to contact their friends and family through a system similar to email, that has been specifically designed for use in correctional facilities. Messages and photographs may be sent to the inmates of the Jackson County Jail using this feature.  Note- Messages and photographs are monitored.
