All inmates may receive and send correspondence through the United States Postal system. Inmates may not receive packages. Direct all correspondence to:

Telephone Calls


Telephone access is provided to all inmates between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., and is an outgoing collect call or Securus inmate calling card. Collect called are charged to your home service.  If you do not want to pay for the telephone call, do not accept the operator assisted request (there is a pre-call advising that the telephone call is being routed from a correctional facility). The Jackson County Jail will not receive any incoming telephone calls or messages for inmates!

Inmate Voice Mail

  1. Call 1-866-949-4574
  2. Select the correctional facility where your incarcerated loved one is housed
  3. Follow the voice prompts to leave a voicemail

After you leave your voicemail, your incarcerated loved one will automatically be notified that they have a voicemail waiting                                                    

If you are experiencing trouble receiving collect calls, contact your phone carrier or contact the Customer Assistance Center at 800-844-6591.

Calling cards can be purchased 24 hours a day ($10 and $20) through vending machines that are located at both jails.
