Request a Video

In January of 2007, the 4th Circuit Court and the Jackson County Probate Court converted from a videotape recording system to a digital video recording system. The previous procedures in place for ordering or viewing a videotape remain in place.

1. Complete Request Form

In order to obtain a copy of a digital video recording, print Digital Video Copy Request Form (PDF) and complete the form.  Then send the filled form to the Clerk's Office with a check for $10 if the hearing is less than one-half hour, or $20 if the hearing is over one-half hour. A separate fee must be paid for each hearing which occurs on a separate day.

2. Coordinating the Request Between Offices

When the Judge's office has been notified that a digital video record has been requested and paid for, the request will be given to the Court Officer. If the Court Officer is unavailable, the request will be given to the Court Clerk or the Judge's Secretary.

3. Copies & View-ability

The staff will make a copy of the digital video hearing on a DVD or CD. The DVD is not viewable in a DVD player, and the CD is not playable in a CD player. The DVD/CD can only be viewed or heard on a Windows-based computer. The software to play the video will be included on the DVD/CD. The DVD is only viewable on a Windows-based computer.
