Jackson County is working continuously to make recycling more accessible to the community. By providing and supporting conservation efforts, Jackson encourages its residents to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
The recycling industry and partners provide employment and service to the community, altering "waste" streams to protect the environment and promote creative solutions to consumption problems. Services and acceptable materials differ. The Jackson County Environmental Health Division offers recycling regulation, outreach education along with other businesses and organizations.
Recycling can be a part of everyday life. Thinking about the full life-cycle of everything you buy and consume can make recycling easier. Collecting at home, at school, or at work can help improve awareness and access to recycling services, like the programs and professionals below.
Curbside recycling is available each week by Granger, Emmons, Modern Waste and Republic according to township policies. Recycling placed into a clear plastic bag can be collected alongside garbage cans.
Recycling Jackson collects the first Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
