Napoleon Township– The Jackson County Department of Transportation, along with the bridge designer, Great Lakes Engineering Group, LLC, will be hosting an informational presentation regarding the replacement of the Moon Lake Road bridge. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at the Napoleon High School, 201 West St., Napoleon, Michigan.
Currently, the bridge is only open to one lane of traffic due to weight restrictions associated with the deterioration of the structure. JCDOT was recently awarded a grant for $906,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation’s Local Bridge Program, which funds 95% of the construction costs. Construction of the replacement bridge is planned to start in winter of 2018 and will be completed by June of 2019.Questions will be addressed after the presentation.
