On June 27 a boil water advisory was issued for the City of Jackson and Blackman Township municipal water system due to a malfunction at the water treatment plant.  Water needed for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth should be boiled for 1 minute then allowed to cool.  Alternatively, bottled water can be used.  Water is safe for bathing.  For more details on the advisory see the City of Jackson webpage.
