Civil Motions
Civil Motions should be scheduled on Fridays at 8:30 a.m., The original motion should be filed with the Jackson County Clerk's Office. A Judge's copy should be sent separately to the Judge's office. It is not necessary to call the Judge's office to schedule a Civil motion hearing. See "Dates Not Available for Hearings" for Judge LaFlamme's availability. Praecipes are not required.
Summary Disposition Motions
Summary Disposition Motions must be scheduled with the Judge's office at 517-768-2784. These are generally heard on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. with 30 minutes allotted for each motion.
